If you’d ask what painting I am most proud of, I would say that you are looking at it right now. Everything just worked out. The smoothness of the background, light and shadows on the ballerina’s skin and cloth, the pose, the transparency of the fabric, and the reflection. It is alive, it is natural. It is how it should be.
